In case you don't already know me, my name is Melissa Zwanger and I am a coach, intuitive, relationship expert and founder of Your Goddess Coach. I understand the deep desire to live the life YOU want to live and trust your own inner voice. I understand the deep longing to get your feminine needs for love, sensuality, and nurturing met when there’s so much you want to accomplish and people are making demands on your time and energy. I have made lots of mistakes. The way I approached achieving my relationship and career goals was costly to me in so many ways. Like many women, I was running too much masculine energy, and my feminine needs weren’t getting met. I thought I needed to try harder and do more, but I just keep getting more and more burnt out. And my relationships didn’t work because I hadn’t learned how to honor and express my needs. I attracted men (and women!) who tried to undermine me, and didn’t know whom I could trust.

I needed someone to teach me how to find my goddess energy. I didn’t have a good role model growing up. My mother was a very masculine and controlling woman who didn’t know how to nurture herself or her children - she behaved more like a marine sergeant than a mother! Instead of supporting me, she competed with me and tried to make me feel badly about myself by criticizing my looks, my taste in clothes, my career choices, my boyfriends…just about everything! She used food to control me and monitored my weight, resulting in a painful battle with food and eating disorders throughout most of my life. To make matters worse, the discovery of sexual abuse within my family kept me at a distance from my father and my two remaining sisters, so I couldn’t find my goddess energy through connection with them either. I had to find it by learning from other women, and so can you!
